RETRIEVING AUSTRALIA FORUM

It is wth sadness I have to report the passing of Gerry Knight on 24 Jan 2016. After a battle with cancer . Gerry was a well known judge and competitor it the '80s & 90's . He judged several National Championships (1985, 1989 & 1994) and was always competitive with his dogs . Gerry always put back into his sport , being involved with the Australian Narional Retrieving Trial Committee in WA from its inception in 1972 until his retirement from the sport in 1999. Most of all Gerry was passionate about Judges training and was a mentor for many WA judges , his 'progeny' have gone on to judge at least six National Championships.
Although not active in recent years he was always interested in how Retrieving was progressing. He will be sadly missed .
