Full results for 2005 NSW State Retrieving Championship

The judges for this event were Mr Robert Tawton (ACT) and Mr Gareth Tawton (Vic).

32 entries were received including 7 lady handlers and at vetting 9 dogs were declared absent including Julie Cramond with 3 dogs(due to family problems) so 23 dogs came to the pegs. By the end of day 1 just 10 dogs remained including 2 ladies, Helena Cornelius with Coalsgarth Una Bella RRD and Maureen Cooper with Coalsgarth Chestnut Teal RRD, both NSW.

Run 5 saw the demise of Helena and Bella and Maureen and Chess leaving 8 dogs for the last run. Unfortunately this last run was the end for Ray Ashenden (SA) and RT Ch Horrissapit Surprize and Jack Montasell(Vic) and RT Ch Kadnook Rusty Nails.

Results:

1. Joe Vella(NSW) with Gr RT Ch Kaemajae All Black ( Lab D) on 277 pts
2. Jack Lynch(NSW) with Coalsgarth Tassie Fern (Lab B) on 257 pts
3. Steve Hall(Vic) with Gr RT Ch Bambillay Brave Heart (Lab D) on 226 pts
4. John Palmer(NSW) with Ashlake Bennelong RRD (Lab D) on 213 pts
5. Russell Whitechurch(Vic) with Tockatunga Slick Willie (Lab D) on 211 pts

6th dog to complete was Russell Kennon(Vic) with RT Ch Beereegan Gunbower

Highest Scoring Non-RT Champion: Jack Lynch and Coalsgarth Tassie Fern

Thanks for posting these Maureen. Sorry I could not manage it myself.

The leading dog day 1 was the eventual winner, Joe Vella's Gr RT Ch Kaemajae All Black.
