QUALIFICATIONS: A ‘NOVICE STAKE’ is a stake confined to Gundogs that have not won any stake other than two (2) Novice Stakes. (‘Beginners’ Tests excluded.)
A ‘RESTRICTED STAKE’ is a stake confined to Gundogs that have not won three (3) Restricted Stakes or an All Age Stake or been placed first or second in a Championship Stake.
An ‘ALL AGE STAKE’ is a stake confined to Gundogs that have won a Novice or have been placed first, second or third in a Restricted Stake.
TRIAL VENUES: Properties used for Trials are private properties and MUST NOT be revisited after the trial. Entry for the Trial is subject to this condition.

This trial will be held at Vardy's Road, Maffra which is a 2 hour 15 minute drive from Melbourne CBD. Good camping is available on the trial site but those wishing to book motel or caravan park should check out the following:-

1. Maffra Motel 51472111 Rooms start at $99-00 and they are happy to take dogs. They are 5 kms from the trial site
2. Stratford Motel 51456500 Rooms start at $85-00 and they are very dog friendly. They have an enclosed run for the dogs and they have under cover parking for the vehicles. They are 15kms from the trial site
3. Thompson River Caravan Park, Sale 51441102 Cabins start at $65.00 per night and they are dog friendly. Sale is about 19kms from the trial site and situated on the Thompson River with large areas of grassy banks to exercise the dogs.

Maffrra is a town of about 4000 people and has most facilities that you would want including counter meals. It is about 6 kms from the trial site. Tinamba is situated 9 kms from the site and has an excellent hotel. Its food has received high praise in the Age Good Food Guide. Stratford has 1 hotel and counter meals. Sale is a major town with many eating and shopping opportunities.
