The Retrieving Club held their second Novice and Restricted stakes for the season down at The Rural Tennis Camp at Crossman. A fine day was forecast, with a crisp morning. After the completion of Novice, a birthday cake was brought out to celebrate the 60th birthday of Ray Johnson, and the usual songs sung for the occasion. Very nice cake, too. My special thanks to the two people who were my Trial Managers for the two stakes, Ann Graham and Iain McDonald. A great job by both of you, and much appreciated.
