Hi - will Run 3 when cojudged be scored out of 130?

The winning dog in the State Championship last weekend scored 451, while a maximum under ANKC rules over 6 runs would be 390.

When cojudging are not the judges' scores usually averaged rather than added together?

Cheers
Alan (dodging the incoming flack again)

Hi Alan

(dodging the incoming flack again) DON'T BE A WHIMP!

We also made the same observation, but decided not to put this question until the National Championship had been run and won, in comparison.

Cheers,
Amand and Georgina

Hi Georgina

"We also made the same observation, but decided not to put this question until the National Championship had been run and won, in comparison."

It would be a mistake to announce the result, and then have a protest against the winner - if changing the method of scoring changes the outcome of the trial. Surely it is essential to run under ANKC rules in a National (and if they are not clear then we have a problem).

Cheers
Alan

We are now down to Day three with two runs to go both will be co-judged.
All runs being co-judged (4 in total) will be divided by two to average the scores for those runs.

Just to allay fears in relation to the State Championship I have checked all scores and can assure everybody that the placing's for all dogs left in the trial is exactly as was presented at the trial. There was no change in the placing's with either scoring method, just the total number of points.

We will be having presentations at the Sale Greyhound club complex at approx. 3pm.

The committee would once again like to thank our sponsors for the trial
Field & Game Australia who have been very generous in support and help for the trials
Royal Canin
Dogs Victoria
Weatherbeeta
Avery Sporting Dog
Specialised dog accessories
Australian Bird hunters.

Congratulations Greg! Carbo worked brilliantly over both weekends and was a very worthy winner. Big congratulations also to Mark & Scout - what a super consistent dog he has been for the past couple of years and the past 12 months in particular. Well done John & Russell on getting through 8 tough runs. Commiserations to Trevor Stow & Annie who went out on the last bird of the last run  . A very well run trial, congratulations to the organisers
