RETRIEVING AUSTRALIA FORUM

Run 1. Triple Mark. Go to FP shoot right to left. Pick up order right left then middle. All long marks but at FP is some scrub so as you send your dog for left bird its pushed off line onto the centre bird. We have lost 5 dogs so far. All good clear marks but there is not much that your dog can use as a marker.
Weather slight breeze with a cool wind and temp of 17c.

Run 2. Walk up, mark and blind. Sequence shoot walk up bird on the way out. Reload continue to front pegs shoot around an 100 mtr mark. Turn around send dog for walk up mark on water channel with distance water entry and relocation. Dog on the way out turn and shoot the blind.
Collect the blind when dog returns then collect the memory mark last. Which is up an hill out of sight from the handler.

Lunch break now and it is also 28 degrees bloody hot with a warm breeze to make you hotter.

3rd Run. Blind, Mark double fall. Sequence leave your dog in the hide go forward to FP. Fire at blind reload call your dog. Shoot 150 mtr Mark down hill across water out and up over another hill collect mark. As your dog reaches top of hill double fall goes off shoot double fall and continue to collect mark. Dog returns collect the blind then collect double fall.
Blind at max distance right angles and double fall bird falling opposite on the other side of the mark.

5th Run. Mark double blind with relocation. Sequence go to FP shoot mark over the brow of an hill. Reload move dog into hide behind trees. Go forward shoot blinds. Call dog, collect left blind at around 60 mtrs.Then centre blind straight up at 150 mtrs, then collect Mark which is on the right with about 20 mtrs gap from relocation.
12 km wind which is playing havoc with the dogs. Slight over cast and because we are in the woods it appears dark.

All seven dogs through to the 6th run.

5th Run. Walk up and double rise. Sequence move from CP towards FP Fire at walk up mark. Reload move to FP another 15 mtrs. Fire at double rise collect double rise collect Mark then rise. Then collect walk up with the relocation. Dogs are out of sight on double rise. You also loose your dog on walk up Mark.

Last Run. Blind, Mark and 2 bird. Sequence leave CP place dog in hide. Go to FP shoot blind, reload call your dog. Shoot Mark ( Go bird) down hill across river up bank over a ditch into a cropped field. Collect Mark on the way back when your dog is in water about half way across the 2 bird goes off. Shoot then take delivery of the mark. Send for blind your dog must swim by the 2 bird. Collect blind back across river then collect 2 bird in some light reeds also in the river.
