As Victoria rapidly heads for 80% of Victorians being double vaccinated lifting of the COVID restrictions should be attained by the end of this month this means that lockdowns and curfews will end and we can recommence Dog Trials and Training.
The Victorian State Championship, previously postponed now confirmed for the 13th and 14th November 2021. (subject to no more restrictions)

DOGS VICTORIA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP RETRIEVING TRIAL

SATURDAY 13th & SUNDAY 14th NOVEMBER 2021
VENUE – SALE AREA

Entries close Sunday 7th November 2021 at 16:00, late entries cannot be accepted.

Conditions of Entry: Dogs Victoria reserves the right to contract a reserve judge if necessary. Competitors must hold and carry a current and valid Firearms Licence (or a copy of a Corporate Licence, if applicable) whilst handling a gun.

Camping is available on site from midday Friday prior to the trial.

Trial venues are private property and must NOT BE REVISITED at any time.

All dogs will be examined by a competent examiner each day of the trial. Bitches in oestrum will not be allowed on the trial site.
The may be on the property but not in the vicinity of the trial site or the area of the runs. No preparation for concealing oestrum shall be used.

Protests will be dealt with by a protest committee, all protests must be in writing and submitted to the trial manager within 30 minutes of the alleged protest and be accompanied by $100. If a protest is upheld the money will be refunded. On final decision of the protest no further correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

Qualifications: A championship stake is confined to gundogs that have been placed first in a restricted stake, first, second or third in an all age stake or have the title of all age retrieving dog (AARD). Proof of eligibility of non-titled dogs must be included with the entry form. A championship stake shall consist of not less than five runs with at least 13 items of game to be retrieved. At least two blind find retrieves are to be included and a dog must be tested for steadiness from behind a hide at least twice.

Entry Fee: $55, subsequent $50 per dog owned by the same person
Vetting Time: 7 – 7.30am both days
Judging Time: 8am both days
Catering: Not Available
Awards: Trophy and sash for 1st – 5th place. Full trophy list will be printed in the catalogue

The trial will be conducted under the Government and Dogs Victoria Covid rules of the day.
Currently - As mandated by Dogs Victoria and the Victorian government, any attendee that does not
• Check in using the Victoria Services QR code app (or use or supply details to a third party device)
• or provide double Covid-19 vaccination acceptable proof
• or if required, proof of age
• or medical exemption proof (or copy to be taken)
will be refused entry to the event.
If an exhibitor is unable to fulfil or supply any of the requirements under the condition of the event “Events subject to Covid-19 restrictions current at the time”, no refund of entry fees and other costs are applicable.
