EVENT CONDUCTED UNDER COVID-19 CONDITIONS

Conducted under the ANKC “Rules for the Conduct of Retrieving Trials for Gundogs” in conjunction with the Rules and Regulations of Dogs Victoria.
A copy may be inspected at the office of the Secretary of the fixture on the day of the trial.

VETTING TIME: 7.00am – 7.30am START TIME: 7.45am

TROPHY LIST: Trophy will be presented to all placegetters to third place.
DRAW: At Trial Secretary's residence, 8.00pm Sunday 18th February 2024
SHOOTERS LICENCE: Handlers of dogs in competition must produce their Shooters Licence at vetting.
GAME: Cold game will be used at this event. No artificial game will be used.
TRIAL VENUES: Properties used for Trials are private properties and MUST NOT be revisited after the trial. Entry to trials is subject to this condition. No person is to use a vehicle on the trial site without approval from the Trial Manager.
NOTE: It is a condition of entry that competitors will assist with stewarding on request and abide by the directives of the Trial Manager.
CATALOGUE: Available free online (Facebook – RAFT) or order hard copy for $3.00
CATERING: There will be NO catering. Cold drinks available.

Property will likely be Yarck, provided weather is not extremely hot.

Trial directions: The trial site is about 15 minutes from Alexandra or about 30 minutes from Yea. Approximately 2 kms from the Yarck Hotel, travelling towards Merton, turn right onto a gravel driveway. Look for VGC signs.

Please take care as the Maroondah Highway speed limit is 100km/h and it is a very busy road.

Camping: From 12pm Friday

Catalogue: There will be NO printed catalogues unless you order one ($3 payable on the day, email sjhaynes@me.com) OR you are Run Manager. It will be uploaded soon on RAFT FB.

~ VGC Retrieving Trial Results 24th & 25th February 2024 ~

It was a privilege to run our trial at Bob and Di Cameron’s beautiful property. Thank you for allowing us access.

Thanks to our retrieving sub-committee – Jeanne R, Jackie P, Dianne V, Frank M, Bronwyn M and Alan H – who have done a fabulous job organising lunches, prizes and game. Craig D also jumped in to help Al with the game which was very much appreciated. These trials only happen because of you!

As always, we are very grateful to our judges for giving up the opportunity to run their own dogs and a huge shout out to Greg Playdon for jumping in to judge Saturday’s All Age at the last minute.
