NSW Retrieving Rule Review

Postby Jeff Griffiths » Thu 24 Jan 2019 7:25 pm

Attention Dogs NSW Members.

As previously advised, there will be a meeting on Saturday 9 February 2019 at 1pm for Dogs NSW members to discuss the various state submissions for the review of rules for Retrieving Trials for Gundogs. Please see the 'Rule Review' post on RA from 17 December 2018 for full details, and/or the advertisement of this meeting in the Journal section of the Dogs NSW magazine December 2018 edition.

The rule review submissions have been available on the ANKC website since December. NSW members accepted a submission for a new discipline for Artificial Game at our public meeting in May 2018. As this is a submission for a new discipline ANKC has deemed that it be treated as such and not as a rule review. The details of this submission are also available on the ANKC website.

To assist Dogs NSW members who are unable to attend the NSW public meeting on 9 February 2019, the NSW RAFT has developed a form to assist members to express their opinions. If you cannot attend the meeting, you can email info@dogsnsw.org.au to request the form. Please put 'RAFT Rule Review' in the heading, and include your name and Dogs NSW membership number. A copy of the state submissions will also be emailed to you along with the rule review form. You must return the rule review form to the Dogs NSW email address by 4pm Thursday 7 February to be included in the review process. The results of the 9 February meeting and emailed responses will be used by the NSW RAFT to form a position on the proposals that the NSW Deleagte will take to the 2019 National RAFT meeting.

Hi Jeff, I sent my votes to Dogs NSW about two weeks ago. Will I need to resend?

Thank you to all the NSW triallers who attended the NSW Retrieving Trial Rule Review meeting today. Thank you also to the two NSW triallers who took advantage of our new postal vote system for those that couldn't get to the meeting.

There was some lively discussion, some clear consensus, and some divided opinion. Your imput is valued to help inform the NSW RAFT on its position to take to the National RAFT meeting.

A big thank you to the NSW RAFT members who gave up a lot of time in the preparation and conduct of this meeting.
