NATIONAL SCORES FOR RETRIEVING TRIAL PLACEGETTERS (YEAR TO DATE)
The Retrieving Australia Leaderboard tracks the progress of dogs who place in
Retrieving Trials over the course of a calendar year, displaying positions on a competition
ladder. Details on the scoring system used appear below.
Data may take a few moments
to load. Use the scroll bars to
reveal all listings.
HOW TO READ THE LEADERBOARD
Gundogs that have place 1st,
2nd or 3rd at a trial during the current year

KEYs shown indiciate the number of places a dog has
obtianed in each level of competition. Eg a "2" in the R1
column indicates two 1st place Restricted wins, which would contribute
12 credits to the total annual score.
"RANK" indicates a dog's present position on the competition ladder.
The database also seperately
records points awarded by a Judge corresponding with
each
placing. "MTP" reports the median (Mn) of all trial points
a dog has recieved during a calendar year. Median Trial Points
do
not count towards positioning on the ladder but may provide an alternative
measure
of a dog's performance for comparisons.
To Check Correctness of
Entries:
(1) Open the "RT-TRIALS
INDEX" for the current season. Scroll to a trial
listing of interest and note the "Leaderboard" column for status
of trial
results.
"Complete"
indicates that results have been entered into the
database.
(2) Note the "TRL#" ID number for trials that a dog
has
placed in.
(3) Return to the LEADERBOARD (above). Open the "PLACINGS" Tab. Dogs
are listed in alpha order. Scroll
across to the "Places" columns to the check accuracy of
entries. Placings appear next to their respective
trial
numbers followed by the trial points awarded by the Judge (where
provided).
Any errors noted in the Leaderboard should be notified to
retrievingaustralia@gmail.com for recification.
ABOUT
THE RA LEADERBOARD
Registered gundogs competing in Novice, Restricted, All Age and
Championship Retrieving Trial stakes conducted under the ANKC Rules for
the Conduct of Retrieving Trials are awarded credits for 1st, 2nd and
3rd places as shown above. Credits are not awarded for events that have
not been sanctioned
by State control bodies (e.g. Sweepstakes) or for events that
are
not
open to all Gundog breeds in ANKC Group 3. Scores are compiled based on
results published on the Retrieving Australia website “Retrieving Trial
Schedules and Results” Forum and must be able to be verified.
Results are entered into the database as soon
as
is practical after posting on the RA website. The Administrator of the
Retrieving Australia website (or
delegate) varifies the final rankings at the end of each trialling
season. Cut-off for inclusion of results is 15 days following
the last eligible retrieving trial listed for the year.
Notification of the highest scored dog (Top Dog) and final rankings of
all other place-getters
will be published on Retrieving Australia.
