I would like to add my congratulations to Mick. Not only was it his first trial, it is his first Lab and he is under 50 (in fact I should probably say under 40):D So hope you have a great trialling future Mick. Also congrats to Kevin with Abby on her RRD

To Diane and Prue, thanks very much. For some reason it has taken me a long time to log and reply. Just to clarify a point, I know I have had a rough life but I'm in my mid thirties. Hopefully Bo and I will do well this year

Mick - to me you look in your 20s! Only said under 50 as we keep complaining about the lack of young people coming into trials and a lot (not all) are in the 50 plus bracket.

I really think that not too many people know about the sport, let alone youngsters and that's why there is a shortage of new people. I only found about it a two years ago, I was buying a duck dog anyway so I though that I would give it a go to make him a better dog.

Mick, I have a sneaking suspicion that all this enthusiasm about encouraging younger people into the sport has alot to do with the older competitors looking for some fresh bodies to lug bird throwers and other non-descript gear around. They try to fool us into thinking its about the long term viability of the sport blah blah but I'm not believing it for a second! In fact, I'm pretty sure the only reason I get invited out training is because my training partners think I'm still young and silly enough to jump in the dam if required. Maybe I am, maybe I'm not
