Hi Everyone
We had a delegation make the trip to Ballandean recently, where a number of events were negotiated relating to the up-coming State and National Retrieving Championships.
Firstly, we will be conducting a NOVELTY EVENT on Tuesday 31st August, which is two days after the running of the Qld State Championship.
This will be known as the STATE OF ORIGIN SHOOT-OUT. The event will be conducted at the Ballandean Clay Target Club, which is situated close to the township, so those people who enjoy having a shot, may like to sharpen their skills, and represent their State in this fun event. The winning State Trophy has been sponsored by the Ballandean Estate Wines.
At the conclusion of this shoot a “Game Menu Dinner” will be served at the Ballandean Wines Estate Restaurant, and of course the presentation of trophies should top off an interesting event.
We have also negotiated a commemorate Port, and Georgina and Anne who are travelling down to Benalla for the Easter week-end will be offering tasting of this port.
Whilst in the area Anne has taken several photos of a small area which may be used for the retrieving events, and these photos will be posted by Jason Ferris.
Game to be used - Presently there is a good population of feral rabbits in the area, and we have organized with the President of the Clay Target Club to harvest sufficient feral rabbits in order that judges in both championships may use this game should they wish to do so.
We will endeavour to keep everyone informed as things unfold, in the meantime Georgina and Anne will be in Victoria at Easter as mentioned, and they will be happy to communicate with people who wish to ask other questions.
Happy Easter everyone.
Have a Safe–One.
