To be held under the Rules and Regulations of the Victorian Canine Association and the ANKC Rules for Retrieving Trials

VETTING: 7.30 AM STARTING TIME: 8.00 AM
VCA Representative: T.B.A.
VENUE: Yea Area
DRAW: A public draw to determine the running order will be made on Saturday 18th. September 2016 at 8.00 pm at the home of the Trial Secretary.
TROPHIES: Trophies and Sashes will be presented for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 5th places.
A full trophy list will be printed in the catalogue.
QUALIFICATIONS: A Championship stake is confined to Gundogs that have been placed first in a Restricted Stake, first, second or third in an All Age Stake or have the title All Age Retrieving Dog (AARD). (Proof of eligibility of non-titled dogs must be included with entry form).
A Championship stake shall consist of not less than five runs with at least thirteen (13) items of game to be retrieved; at least two (2) blind finds are to be included. A dog must be tested for steadiness from behind a Hide at least twice.

CATERING: A light lunch will be provided on both days at nominal cost.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:
• Dogs Victoria reserves the right to contract a reserve judge if necessary.
• Competitors must hold a current and valid Firearms Licence to handle a gun.
• Trial venues are private property and must NOT BE REVISITED at any time.
• All dogs will be examined by a competent examiner each day of the trial. Bitches in oestrum will not be permitted to compete. They may be on the property but not in the vicinity of the trial site or the area of the runs. No preparation for concealing oestrum shall be used.
• ALL DOGS on the trial site must be on a lead (except when competing or being exercised). The lead must be held in the hand or the dog tethered on a lead of not more than 1.5 metres.

Just letting competitors know that they can now enter online for the Championship via

The cost of entry is 55c. which is cheaper than a postage stamp and envelope.

The Vic State Trial will be held at Switzerland road Highlands (Yea). Same camping and vetting location as this weeks GRCV/VGDC trial. Suggest you bring your gumboots and aeroguard.



Directions toTrial Site: Switzerland Road,Highlands( Yea), Travel down Ghin Ghin Road 8.30 kms turn right into Switzerland Road.Do not via off road ,camp is at end of road

Ghin Ghin road is off Goulburn Valley Highway, Yea

1st Place: R. Whitechurch's 14,15 & 16 NTL & GR RT CH. ADDERSLOT CHIEF Pts. 303
2nd Place: K. Britton's GR RT CH ACCLON PRINC OF CYPHER Pts. 300
3rd Place: J. Lawton's GR RT CH KADNOOK SPORTING SPIRIT Pts. 297
4th Place: A & J Cramond's (Handler R Whitechurch) RT CH ADDERSLOT TUSCANYS ARROW Pts. 286
5th Place: J. Stott's GR RT CH KADNOOK DREAMS EDGE Pts. 282

Highest scoring Golden Retriever Sash went to J. Hargreaves RT Ch. Winterset Moon River
Highest scoring Labrador Retriever Sash went to R. Whitechurch as well as Highest scoring VGC Club member.

Thanks to all the helpers over the weekend especially Dean and Rocky, Peter Doley for a great job as manager, Chris Van EEklen, Peter Eley and everybody else who pitched in to make the trial a great success.
Special thanks to Leanne Tormey for coming up and feeding us all weekend, it was greatly appreciated.

Congratulations Russell, what a consistent dog, and standing up to a lot of high level trialling. Well done also to Karl and John, both also very consistent dogs at the highest level.
