Tassie trial 5/6 March

I notice that there is a Tassie Trial scheduled for the 5/6th of March. Is this not the Opening Weekend of the Tassie duck season? I haven't been able to find the dates for the Tassie duck opening on the government website yet. Has there been a change to the duck opening weekend that has allowed the trial to be on this date?
