“The first Trial Ash competed in was on 24th June 1987 at Wallacia in
NSW and Ash’s last Trial was the NSW Championship held at Braidwood
in September 1997 where he finished 5th.
I acquired Ash as a 10 weeks old pup, and immediately he and I had a
special bonding, which never wavered. Ash was a big, yellow, gentle
dog with a huge amount of natural talent. He was an excellent marking
dog and was gifted with remarkable “game finding” abilities.
All my days with Ash were most memorable. He loved it when we went
camping and fishing. Apart from being Mans’ Best Friend, he was my
